摘星之旅 Growing Through Life

So we've come to the end of a 30 episode series, and of course, how do we end a "Grand Production" series? With a double episode finale! So, just a quick recap of how our story ends... Hanson discovers that Leung had actually remembered everything, but was faking amnesia so that it would be easier on both of them, but Hanson is unsure if he wants to call Leung his father or not, since things have been awkward between them. Leung and Chung Suk go out drinking. Both of them have sons they are distant with. Chung Suk thinks Leung is luckier because his son doesn't go around doing bad things, whereas Linus does. Seng comes to check up on the two of them and Chung Suk, while not sober, you only have one real father, and you should cherish that.

After realizing how much his father really cares for him, Hanson calls Leung dad. With that, Leung feels relieved. That night, he starts writing his diary. Little do we know, not long after, he is run over by a car, and dies. I'm sure we can all guess who did it? Yes, it was Linus. We discover that immediately after running him over, Linus discovers that Leung had no idea that it was him who knocked him off the cliff causing him amnesia.

Soon after, Chung Suk walks into Weng Hoi and asks Linus if it was he who killed Leung. Linus, who was in front of several, told Chung Suk to leave, and calls security. As Chung Suk is being dragged back by security, Linus's nose bleeds. After a while we discover that Linus's liver is failing. He has about a week to live. He goes desperately around searching for a liver to transplant.


When Macy comes to the hospital, wondering whether or not to go and see Linus, she discovers that Linus has already got a liver lined up for him to have transplanted. Macy then discovers it's Chung Suk's liver. She sees him sitting on a bench outside the hospital and joins him. He explains that being a father, he is willing to do anything for his son, no matter what he has done in the past.

Before his surgery, Hanson meets Linus on the way to his surgery. He was still talking to Hanson ful of hatred. However, after the surgery, he changed. He goes down to see Chung Suk, only, as he makes it downstairs, Chung Suk's condition worsens. He was too old to be able to go through with the operation in the first place, and he passes away. Linus sees how his father had given him his life, and he changes.


Macy receives a package in the mail. She opens it up only to find a contract to transfer all the Weng Hoi Group shares that Linus had stolen back to her.


We then see that Linus had decided to turn himself in to the police for the murder of Leung.
So how do we end the story now?


Hanson and LaiJing get married. LaiJing had one last inspection of her brain with the doctor. Miraculously, her tumour that was in her brain... had disappeared. With that, she agrees to marry Hanson. I really don't know what to say about this ending. It does tie most things up, however, it seems very very rushed. You could probably have turned this 2 episode finale into 10 episodes.I'm not saying it's a bad ending, I'm just saying I'm satisfied. That's it. It could have been more, but I'm satisfied. (:
